Hit time-loop sci-fi series The Lazarus Project<\/a> burst out of the gate with its first season in 2022, leaving fans desperate to see the follow up.<\/p>\n

Now, fans have finally been given a tease of what they can expect from the new episode, with a selection of brand new images being released by Sky.<\/p>\n

In the images, Paapa Essiedu can be seen back as George, both inside the base and out in combat gear, while other images show behind-the-scenes of the filming on season 2. You can see the full set of images below.<\/p>\n

The synopsis continues: \u201cAmong their number is resolute Lazarus agent, George (Paapa Essiedu), who\u2019s been left in disgrace after betraying the organisation in the name of love. The new season will see\u00a0Essiedu, Anjli Mohindra, Charly Clive, Rudi Dharmalingam, Caroline Quentin and Tom Burke all back in their roles, with new stars including Colin Salmon (Intelligence), Royce Pierreson (The Witcher<\/a>), Safia Oakley-Green (Sherwood<\/a>),<\/em> Lorne MacFadyen (Vigil<\/a>), Zoe Telford (Genius), Sam Troughton (Litvinenko<\/a>) and James Atherton (Hollyoaks<\/a>)<\/p>

The series\u2019s creator Joe Barton previously spoke exclusively with\u00a0RadioTimes.com<\/a> about the new season, calling writing it the \u201chardest thing\u201d<\/a> he\u2019s ever had to do.<\/p>\n

He said: \u201cBetween getting recommissioned and starting shooting was, like, two months \u2013 it was like crazy. So we\u2019re filming right now. I\u2019m just trying to write the scripts before they turn up on set and have nothing to say. So it\u2019s very, very tight. It\u2019s very stressful.\u201d<\/p>
