Professor Snape hasn\u2019t even been born yet, but we can\u2019t help but hear his voice in the back of our minds every time we\u2019re brewing Hogwarts Legacy<\/a> potions.<\/p>\n

Making potions in Hogwarts Legacy requires a fair bit of legwork, from collecting recipes to buying ingredients and finally lobbing it all into your cauldron.<\/p>\n

Of course, you can just buy potions, but where would be the fun in that? If you want to know all about how to make potions in Hogwarts Legacy<\/a>, including all the recipes and ingredients you need to know about, read on!<\/p>\n

How to make potions in Hogwarts Legacy<\/strong><\/h2>\n

If you follow the main story in Hogwarts Legacy, it won\u2019t take you long to learn how to make potions. Once you\u2019ve had your first lesson with Professor Sharp, you will be able to make potions in two main places \u2014 those would be the Potions classroom and the Room of Requirement, the latter of which will be unlocked later in the main story.<\/p>\n

If you\u2019re in one of these places, head to your potions station and interact with it<\/strong>. In the menu that comes up, simply select the potion you want to make. As long as you have the recipe and the ingredients listed on it, the potion should be ready to collect soon (they take a few seconds to brew, and a timer should be visible when you hover nearby).<\/p>

How to get potion recipes in Hogwarts Legacy<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Before you make a potion in Hogwarts Legacy, you will first need to get the recipe for it. Some of these recipes are picked up during the main story, but most of them need to be bought from the potions shop in Hogsmeade<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

This handy store is called J Pippin\u2019s Potions and you should be able to spot it on the Hogsmeade map. And remember, you can always sell your unwanted gear to make a bit of extra spending money when you need it.<\/p>\n

Where to find potion ingredients in Hogwarts Legacy<\/strong><\/h2>\n

So you\u2019ve bought the recipe for the potion of your dreams, but where exactly are you meant to get the ingredients? The easiest way is to\u00a0buy potion ingredients from the shops in Hogsmeade<\/strong> \u2014 you\u2019ll find some of the ingredients at J Pippin\u2019s Potions, while others are only available at The Magic Neep.<\/p>\n

Note: if you\u2019re trying to find Fluxweed Stem for Professor Sharp\u2019s assignment homework, you need to go to The Magic Neep in this case. This herb-stuffed stall is also located in Hogsmeade and it has slightly different stock to J Pippin\u2019s Potions.<\/p>\n

Of course, you will also find potions ingredients as you explore the open world. We\u2019d highly recommend picking up any random mushroom or item that you happen across, because it will probably come up later in some sort of useful way.<\/p>
