Lilly reprises her role as Hope van Dyne in the newly released Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. <\/p>
In the newly released MCU instalment Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania<\/a>, Evangeline Lilly reprises the role of Hope van Dyne\/Wasp for the fourth time \u2013 and now she\u2019s outlined her dream project with the character.<\/p>\n Speaking exclusively to RadioTimes.com<\/a> with her fellow Quantumania cast<\/a> member Kathryn Newton, Lilly was asked if she\u2019d be interested in a Wasp solo project, and her response was very positive.<\/p>\n \u201cIt would be an all-female cast, it would be an all-female crew,\u201d she said, with Newton interjecting that the idea sounded \u201csick\u201d.<\/p>\n \u201cI got spoiled doing that scene in the Avengers film,\u201d Lilly continued, referring to the iconic moment in Avengers: Endgame when Wasp teamed up with her fellow female Avengers. \u201cIt was so different and awesome being on a set loaded with female actresses. I\u2019ve never had that experience in all of my life before.\u201d<\/p>\n When Newton commented that it was \u201csuch a powerful image\u201d, Lilly added: \u201cYeah, and the experience for me was even more powerful than the image. And I mean of course, in the end, I watched it and I was like, \u2018Yeah, Captain Marvel didn\u2019t need any of us, did she?\u2019 Like not even remotely, she was just like, \u2018Give me the gauntlet!\u2019<\/p>\n \u201cBut the experience was enlightening and the experience was really eye-opening for me. I felt more comfortable than I\u2019ve ever felt before on a film set because there was none of the dynamics of trying to navigate a group of men. So I would love to do that, I think it would be really fun.\u201d<\/p>\n Read more:<\/strong><\/p>\n Meanwhile, Michael Douglas revealed that he had his own rather different spin-off idea for his character Hank Pym and Michelle Pfeiffer\u2019s Janet van Dyne.<\/p>\n \u201cI wish that we could do a whole story on when Janet comes back from the Quantum Realm, sort of when this movie starts,\u201d he said. \u201cThose two or three years where we come back and we\u2019re sort of living the retirement life and all that \u2013 but we\u2019re literally having it back together again.<\/p>\n \u201cSo there\u2019s a little bit of The Bickersons, I think, which could be a lot of fun\u2026 it would be like a romantic comedy \u2013 two super action heroes trying to reconnect on a personal level.\u201d<\/p>\n He added: \u201cThat\u2019s a good one-liner, maybe I\u2019ll pitch that!\u201d<\/p> Warning: the video below contains spoilers for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.<\/strong><\/p>\n
