It was off to Shropshire for the latest Apprentice task, but which candidate made their final appearance in the boardroom this week? <\/p>
The remaining Apprentice candidates<\/a> entered the world of immersive experiences in tonight\u2019s episode of the BBC One competition, but it was game over for one unlucky entrepreneur after Lord Sugar fired yet another contestant.<\/p>\n This week saw the nine candidates return to their teams to host an immersive event in Shropshire for the latest profit task<\/a> but after cost calculating mishaps, dining disasters and client miscommunications, only one team came out the winner.<\/p>\n If you missed tonight\u2019s episode, RadioTimes.com<\/a> is here to catch you up with the latest recap video for episode 8.<\/p> This evening\u2019s episode saw Lord Sugar challenge Team Apex with putting on an immersive experience at Shrewsbury Prison, while Team Affinity were given the Victorian town of Bliss Hill, with both needing to sell tickets, book entertainment and organise food and drink.<\/p>\n Avi Sharma<\/a> was adamant on being the project manager for Team Affinity, deciding on selling \u00a399 tickets for a Victorian school experience featuring a contortionist. Meanwhile,\u00a0Mark Moseley<\/a> volunteered to lead Team Apex, which settled on a jail immersive experience ending with a magician\u2019s performance.<\/p>\n After arguing over the ticket prices, Mark initially settled on \u00a3150 for a base ticket and up to \u00a3180 for an advanced one \u2013 however, later on he tried to drop the price to \u00a3100.<\/p>\n Unfortunately, both teams struggled to sell tickets at the prices they wanted, with Avi and Rochelle Anthony<\/a> clashing over their selling strategy, while Mark, Victoria and Dani weren\u2019t entirely clear on the product they were trying to flog.<\/p>\n After spending \u00a3300 on a magician and over \u00a320 per head for food, Apex realised that they were actually working on a minus figure with a profit of -\u00a363 and therefore needed to sell extras on the day such as photos.<\/p>\n Over at Avi\u2019s Victorian school experience, the customers were receiving the incorrect food orders and thought photos were a part of the package, with Avi telling them they were not.<\/p>\n In the boardroom, Lord Sugar\u2019s aides revealed that Mark\u2019s team made a profit of \u00a3121.50 after spending significantly more than Avi\u2019s team, which made a profit of \u00a3858.<\/p>\n Frustrated with the team selling tickets, Lord Sugar ordered Mark to bring Victoria Goulbourne<\/a> and Dani Donovan<\/a> back into the boardroom with him, and while he thought Dani didn\u2019t sell efficiently in the task and Victoria didn\u2019t stress her concerns enough, he fired Mark, saying that he \u201clost control of the profit and loss count\u201d.<\/p>\n The Apprentice airs on BBC One and\u00a0<\/strong>BBC iPlayer<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0on Thursdays at 9pm.
