The Netflix show’s executive producer has promised that season four is “the most ambitious” series yet. <\/p>

It\u2019s been a while since we last saw the Hawkins gang, but according to Stranger Things<\/a> boss Shawn Levy, season four is \u201csuper worth the wait.\u201d<\/p>\n

The executive producer revealed in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter<\/a> that the upcoming series is the most \u201cepic\u201d the show has ever done.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are long-delayed, and the Duffers and I want to share season four with the world as badly as the world wants it,\u201d he said whilst promoting his new film,\u00a0Free Guy<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cPart of what\u2019s taking time is long before COVID and the pandemic existed, season four was built to be by far the most ambitious, cinematic, sprawling and epic season that we\u2019ve ever done.<\/p>\n

\u201cBy not just a little \u2014 by a lot<\/i>. So the complexity of season four, even before we had the obstacles, hurdles and challenges of a pandemic, is taking a lot of time because it is super<\/i> worth the wait.\u201d<\/p>

Stranger Things season four has faced various delays due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, with filming on the new episodes wrapping recently.<\/p>\n

Joe Keery, who plays Steve Harrington in the popular Netflix show, told Variety<\/a> that the end of shooting was \u201cbittersweet\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s something that we\u2019ve grown up doing. Seeing all my friends on this show, we\u2019ve all changed a lot, and different things have happened in our lives, and we\u2019ve all been through it together.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen it does come to an end, I imagine it will be emotional. I\u2019m just enjoying it while I can, really.\u201d<\/p>\n
