It\u2019s official: Call the Midwife<\/a> is returning for season 13.<\/p>\n

Call the Midwife season 13 release date speculation: When will it air?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Apart from season 10, every instalment of the show to date has arrived at the beginning of the year, so we\u2019d expect season 13 to arrive in January 2024<\/strong> following the Christmas special.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s a big question mark hanging over two Call the Midwife characters.<\/p>\n

Lucille (Leonie Elliott) left mid-way through season 12 to travel to Jamaica after suffering a nervous breakdown and it\u2019s currently unclear<\/a>\u00a0if she\u2019ll be back, leaving her marriage to Cyril in doubt<\/a>.<\/p>\n

And Nancy (Megan Cusack) has been offered a job at another hospital<\/a>, which she\u2019s tempted to accept for the benefit of her daughter Colette.<\/p>\n

Sister Hilda (Fenella Woolgar) also didn\u2019t return for season 12 and Sister Frances (Ella Bruccoleri) <\/span>left in the Christmas special, but Thomas did say that the door remains open if either want to return.<\/p>\n

But we\u2019d expect the following to all feature:<\/p>\n
