Season 3 episode 3 saw the return of a Star Trek Generations actor… <\/p>
Warning: This article contains spoilers for Star Trek: Picard season 3.<\/strong><\/p>\n Star Trek: Picard<\/a> boss Terry Matalas has broken down a surprising cameo in\u00a0season 3 that launched a former Star Trek Generations actor back onto our screens.<\/p>\n Episode 3, titled Seventeen Seconds<\/a>, raised the stakes as the crew of the U.S.S. Titan were pursued deeper into the nebula, where the starship\u2019s systems began to falter.<\/p>\n The instalment also brought back actor Henry Dekker as a mysterious villain named Titus Rikka, who was later revealed to be a Changeling.<\/p>\n Fans were quick to spot that Dekker previously appeared in Star Trek Generations as a child actor, playing Jean-Luc Picard\u2019s (Sir Patrick Stewart) imaginary son, Thomas Picard.<\/p>\n Asked whether it was a deliberate choice to bring Dekker back, Matalas told Digital Spy<\/a>:\u00a0\u201cNo, he just auditioned for the role and he\u2019s fantastic.\u201d<\/p>\n Talking about how the cameo was completely coincidental, Matalas added:\u00a0\u201cIt didn\u2019t actually dawn on us until we were shooting that that was the case, that [Dekker] had been [\u2026] part of it before.<\/p>\n \u201cBut wow, is he good in that scene?
