However, fans may have noticed that while most of the dialogue in this sequence remains the same as in the game, one iconic line was missing, with Pedro Pascal\u2019s version of Joel<\/a> not saying, \u201cYou are treading on some mighty thin ice here\u201d as he does in the game.<\/p>\n Troy Baker, who played Joel in the original game<\/a> and appeared in the series\u2019 eighth episode as a different character, spoke with RadioTimes.com<\/a> and other press about this change, and explained how the decision to remove the line came from Pascal himself.<\/p>\n Baker said: \u201cAll I ever wanted was for someone to show me something new about Joel. What did I miss? That\u2019s the disappointment that would have come, if someone had just done what I did. What Pedro does is he loves Joel enough to be different. That\u2019s what I respect most about him.\u201d<\/p>\n Baker continued: \u201cA perfect example is the classic line of, \u2018You\u2019re treading on mighty thin ice.\u2019 Pedro was like, \u2018It just doesn\u2019t feel right for me to say that.
