The nerve-shredding survival thriller has just landed on Netflix. <\/p>

Survival thriller Fall<\/a> is now streaming on Netflix following its theatrical release last year \u2013 and it\u2019s probably one to avoid if you\u2019re a little squeamish about heights.<\/p>\n

The film follows Becky and Hunter, two best friends who decide to go on a daring climbing expedition up an abandoned radio tower one year after the former\u2019s husband had died from a horrendous fall.<\/p>\n

Hunter\u2019s hope had been that the trip might prove a distraction from Becky\u2019s grief, but things very quickly go south when they reach the top of the tower and become stranded, leaving them in an extremely desperate situation.<\/p>\n

The rest of the film sees the pair concoct a number of strategies to try to get them out of their predicament \u2013 and if the nerve-shredding tension of it all wasn\u2019t enough there\u2019s also a major twist in the final act.<\/p>\n

Fall ending explained<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The longer Becky and Hunter spend at the top of the radio tower, the more desperate their situation begins to look, especially after their attempt to gain the attention of two passers-by with a flare gun only leads to their car being stolen.<\/p>\n

Sometime later, Becky suddenly notices a tattoo on Hunter\u2019s ankle which reads 1-4-3 \u2013 the same sequence she had used to tell her late husband Dan that she loved him. After being questioned, Hunter admits that she had had an affair with Dan which lasted for four months, and Becky is understandably distraught.<\/p>\n

In a bid to make amends, Hunter agrees to climb down the tower so she can fetch the backpack they had previously dropped \u2013 which contains both their water supply and a drone. Hunter is successful in this attempt, and after charging the drone using the tower\u2019s red lamp they try to send a message to a diner a few miles away. Unfortunately, the drone is intercepted by a truck before it can get very far \u2013 and they are back to square one.<\/p>\n

Some time later comes the big twist. Becky \u2013 who has been growing increasingly delirious due to being deprived of food \u2013 realises that Hunter had not actually successfully made it back up to the top of the tower after retrieving the bag, and had instead fallen to her death, with her corpse now sitting on a communications dish slightly below.<\/p>\n

The situation only gets more desperate, and Becky is even forced to kill and eat a vulture that has begun to gnaw at her injured leg. But she realises she has one last chance of getting help: if she sends a text to her father, puts her phone in Hunter\u2019s pocket, and throws her corpse from the tower, she will have enough signal for the text to send.<\/p>\n

She goes ahead with this plan and it is successful: her dad alerts the emergency services and drives to the tower himself, where he is reunited with her daughter after she is rescued. We can\u2019t imagine Becky will be in a rush to go on any further climbing trips in the future though\u2026<\/p>
