The high-concept comedy is arriving on Apple TV+ later this month. <\/p>

The first trailer has been released for the upcoming Apple TV+ series The Big Door Prize \u2013 a \u201ccharacter-driven comedy\u201d which stars Chris O\u2019Dowd in the lead role.<\/p>\n

Adapted by Emmy Award-winner David West Read (Schitt\u2019s Creek) from M.O. Walsh\u2019s 2020 novel of the same name, the series consists of 10 half-hour episodes and tells the story of a small town that is forever changed when a mysterious machine appears, promising to reveal each resident\u2019s true life potential.<\/p>

In the trailer, we are introduced to O\u2019Dowd\u2019s character Dusty as he discovers the unusual device \u2013 which soon leads to him querying his own purpose in life and asking some major existential questions.<\/p>\n
