Paul ‘Wicky’ Wickstead is set to encounter more eccentrics in his job as a crime scene cleaner. <\/p>

Greg Davies will be returning for a second season of black comedy series The Cleaner<\/a> on Friday 24th March at 9:30pm,<\/strong> the BBC has confirmed.<\/p>\n

The anthology show will once again see the Taskmaster<\/a>\u00a0host take on the lead role of crime scene cleaner Paul \u2018Wicky\u2019 Wickstead, who meets all sorts of oddballs and eccentrics while going about his macabre day job.<\/p>

As with the first run, an impressive supporting cast has been assembled for the follow-up, with the likes of Asim Chaudhry (People Just Do Nothing), \u00a0Harriet Walter (Succession<\/a>), and Simon Callow (Four Weddings and a Funeral) all set to appear in individual episodes.<\/p>\n

Other famous faces set to feature in the six-parter include comedian Roisin Conaty (After Life<\/a>), Zo\u00eb Wanamaker (Britannia), John MacMillan (House of the Dragon<\/a>), Alex Lawther (Andor<\/a>) and Susannah Fielding (This Time With Alan Partridge).<\/p>\n

The first season of The Cleaner \u2013 which is based on the German comedy\u00a0Der Tatortreiniger \u2013 aired in September 2021 and boasted Helena Bonham Carter, David Mitchell and Ruth Madely among its guest cast.<\/p>
