It\u2019s a super exciting time for Star Wars<\/a> fans, what with The Mandalorian<\/a> returning to our screens for\u00a0season 3<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Pedro Pascal\u2019s Din Djarin and Grogu, AKA Baby Yoda<\/a>, are back in business and episode 1<\/a>, titled The Apostate, saw them reunite with plenty of old friends, including Carl Weathers\u2019s Greef Karga<\/a> and Katee Sackhoff\u2019s Bo-Katan.<\/p>\n

However, while Karga has had quite the upgrade, being the High Magistrate of the newly-thriving Nevarro, Bo-Katan\u2019s story has gone a little differently.<\/p>\n

As we catch up with the once-great Mandalorian in season 3, she cuts a lonely figure, with everyone having abandoned her after she lost the Darksaber<\/a> to Djarin in the second season\u2019s finale.<\/p>\n

She gives Mando directions to the Living Waters in Mandalore \u2014 but not before telling him he\u2019s a \u201cfool\u201d and that she believes the planet to have been poisoned. Ever the optimist, eh, Bo-Katan?<\/p>\n

However, this would not be the last time that Din would see Bo-Katan as she accompanies him and Grogu on their quest to Mandalore and reveals a lot more about herself along the way in the second episode of the season<\/a>, titled The Mines of Mandalore.<\/p>\n

Bo-Katan even recalls her days as a member of the royal family of Mandalore too, but there is a lot of backstory to discuss.<\/p>\n

Who is Bo-Katan Kryze?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Bo-Katan Kryze is a claimant of the title of the ruler of Mandalore in the Star Wars universe.<\/p>\n

Bo-Katan was first introduced in Star Wars: The Clone Wars and returned in Star Wars Rebels<\/a>. She\u2019s always been voiced by Katee Sackhoff, but the character made her first live-action appearance in The Mandalorian.<\/p>\n

A member of the Mandalorian race, Bo-Katan long believed in restoring their world to its old war-like ways, against the more pacifist politics of her sister, Duchess Satine Kryze.<\/p>\n

In The Clone Wars, Bo-Katan joined a terrorist faction: Death Watch. Later, in Rebels, she\u2019s gifted the Darksaber by Sabine Wren and is declared the ruler of Mandalore after helping to overthrow Maul on her homeworld.<\/p>\n

As we\u2019ve seen in The Mandalorian, doesn\u2019t quite follow the more dogmatic Creed of The Watch in the same way as Din Djarin. She\u2019s also formed various alliances, including with Ahsoka<\/a> Tano (Rosario Dawson), which comes in handy in The Mandalorian.<\/p>\n

Bo-Katan\u2019s first appearance in The Mandalorian is in the season 2 episode titled \u201cThe Heiress\u201d when she and her fellow Mandalorians step in to rescue Djarin from the Quarren (and from certain death).<\/p>
