Almost four years after Zachary Levi Shazamed his way onto the big screen in the first film<\/a>, the star is back for a sequel that arrives in UK cinemas imminently.<\/p>\n

Shazam! Fury of the Gods sees the group of teenage heroes we were introduced to back in 2019 do battle with a major new threat \u2013 the Daughters of Atlas, who are played by West Side Story breakout star Rachel Zegler and screen legends Helen Mirren and Lucy Liu<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Ahead of the release, fans have already been treated to several glimpses of the characters in action in various trailers and director David F Sandberg has teased that the film is \u201csort of an extension of the first movie.\u201d<\/p>\n

Speaking to EW<\/a>, he explained: \u201cHe finally found a family in that movie. But now, we see him struggling a bit now that they\u2019re growing up. He\u2019s holding on very tightly to his family because he doesn\u2019t want everyone to just scatter and go do their own thing. He just found his family, and he wants to have them all together.\u201d<\/p>\n
