The Essex-based entrepreneur left the Channel 4 show suddenly in episode 1. <\/p>

Channel 4\u2019s Rise and Fall<\/a> landed on our screens this evening, with 16 people<\/a> fighting their way to the top of the power ladder to become a Ruler while the Grafters build up the prize pot at the bottom.<\/p>\n

While the contestants have made it just one day on the reality competition so far, the process proved to be too much for Ali, a 45-year-old entrepreneur from Essex who quit the show suddenly.<\/p>\n

Together with the rest of the Grafters, Ali was living in the dingy basement<\/a> with no hot water and limited sunlight whilst competing in challenges to build up the prize pot \u2013 but why did he suddenly decide to leave?<\/p>\n

Essex-based businessman Ali chose to leave Rise and Fall on Day 1 of the game after struggling to deal with the Grafters\u2019 living conditions.<\/p>\n

After becoming a Grafter at the start of the competition and explaining that he\u2019s not in his \u201ccomfort zone\u201d, Ali decided to quit the show once the first work shift \u2013 which saw the Grafters face minor electric shocks \u2013 was over.<\/p>\n

\u201cI feel like s**t. I want to go home,\u201d he said in his confessional. \u201cThe lack of decent food, no hot water, it\u2019s freezing. That\u2019s what can break a man.\u201d<\/p>\n

Breaking the news to his fellow Grafters, Ali said: \u201cI\u2019m off. See you later. Yeah I\u2019m gone.\u201d<\/p>\n

When Sydney suggested that he sleep on it, Ali said: \u201cWhy? But what\u2019s it going to do?\u201d<\/p>\n

Having left the show, he said: \u201cI can\u2019t be a follower. I\u2019m a leader. Quite frankly, I don\u2019t know any other way.\u201d<\/p>\n

Who are the remaining contestants?\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n

With Ali gone from the show, there are just 15 remaining contestants on Rise and Fall \u2013 however, that it soon to be 14, with the Rulers voting on which of them should be eliminated from the competition.<\/p>\n

Tonight\u2019s episode left us on a major cliffhanger, after Cheryl, Rachel and Ramona all receiving votes in the elimination and Matt\u2019s currently unknown vote being the deciding one.<\/p>\n
