You can vote for your favourites here<\/strong><\/a>, as we hand you the power to crown the ultimate soap character. But be quick \u2013 Round 1 voting closes at 5pm on Monday 20th March<\/strong>, so get going to push your favourite over the line now.<\/p>\n

So how does it work? Well, our experts have put together a not-so-short-list of the best characters from last year \u2013 from Emmerdale<\/a> murderesses to darlings of Albert Square.<\/p>\n

Some contenders might take you on a trip down memory lane as you get the chance to pay tribute to characters who have since departed by bestowing upon them the coveted title of Soap Champion for their contribution to their soap\u2019s legacy.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Through an epic tournament of polls, you will select the greatest character of 2022 from the following programmes: EastEnders<\/a>; Neighbours<\/a>; Coronation Street<\/a>; Emmerdale; Hollyoaks<\/a>; Home and Away; and Doctors.<\/p>\n
