Coronation Street newcomer Erin Austen promises more chaos in Ryan Connor\u2019s future scenes with her character Crystal Hyde.<\/p>\n
The DJ was introduced in earlier episodes, becoming entangled with the ITV soap\u2019s tragic acid attack storyline<\/a> which left Ryan (Ryan Prescott) injured by Daisy Midgeley\u2019s (Charlotte Jordan) stalker Justin Rutherford (Andrew Still).<\/p>\n Moonlighting as a DJ, Ryan and Crystal immediately hit it off and he was initially tempted to flee with her to Ibiza, where she often works. But the stalker\u2019s attack halted their plans, landing the bartender in hospital for a long recovery<\/a>.<\/p> While he has reconciled with his ex Alya Nazir (Sair Khan) since, it seems that Crystal may not be out of the picture just yet as she vowed to remain in touch with Ryan.<\/p>\n \u201cYou\u2019ll have to keep watching and trust me when I say there are some incredible twists coming up,\u201d Austen told Liverpool Echo<\/a> about what\u2019s next for her character.<\/p>\n Austen also addressed joining the cast of \u201ciconic\u201d\u00a0Coronation Street<\/a> as the confident DJ, explaining there\u2019s at least one trait she has in common with Crystal.<\/p>
