Chadwick Boseman’s Star-Lord could’ve had his own animated series. <\/p>
Following the introduction of the multiverse via Loki<\/a>, Marvel\u2019s What If<\/a>\u00a0introduces different versions of our favourite characters from different timelines.<\/p>\n One such version centres around that of the late Chadwick Boseman\u2019s T\u2019Challa. Most of us know him as Black Panther, but his upcoming What If\u2026? debut will see him take on Peter Quill\u2019s Star-Lord mantle instead.<\/p>\n Boseman\u2019s voice work in What If\u2026? was never meant to be his last appearance in the MCU, and director Bryan Andrews had said they were already thinking of \u201ca way to do spin-offs\u201d with Boseman in the lead.<\/p> \u201cHis excitement level was awesome because he knew what he was going through \u2014 we didn\u2019t, similar to everybody except his closest inner circle,\u201d Andrews told EW<\/a>. \u201cHe wanted every chance he could to get T\u2019Challa out there, and this was going to be one of those last chances.<\/p>\n \u201cHe was a super pro and wonderful and super amazing and we had no idea, you know? He brought so much to the role and he was into it and fun.<\/p>\n \u201cWe were already thinking of finding a way to do spin-offs and stuff like that of him and his crew to have these wonderful adventures,\u201d Andrews added. \u201cBecause [while] the character was so different, you can keep some of the virtue and some of the integrity and all the other important aspects of T\u2019Challa as we know him, Black Panther, without necessarily the pressure of the kingdom Wakanda.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n New episode\u2019s of Marvel\u2019s What If\u2026? land on Disney+ on Wednesdays.
