King shared her thoughts on more Kissing Booth movies. <\/p>

The third instalment of The Kissing Booth series has landed on Netflix, with Joey King\u2019s Elle having to make a tough choice between her boyfriend Noah (Jacob Elordi) and her best friend \u2013 and Noah\u2019s brother \u2013 Lee (Joel Courtney).<\/p>\n

Since The Kissing Booth 3<\/a>\u2018s release, fans have been wondering whether we\u2019ll get to see the trio on screen again, despite there only being three books in Beth Reekles\u2019 The Kissing Booth novel series. Sadly, it isn\u2019t likely, at least, according to King herself.<\/p>\n

\u201cI started these movies when I was 17,\u201d King, who recently starred in Amazon Prime Video\u2019s The Act,\u00a0told\u00a0The New York Times<\/a>. \u201cWe were just like, \u2018We hope people like it \u2013 if anyone even sees it.\u2019 Little did we know what a big impact this would have. I\u2019ve never tired of playing Elle. It\u2019s so fun.\u201d<\/p>

\u201cWatching this story be wrapped up so nicely in like a beautiful bow, I think it would be a little hard to come back after that,\u201d she added. \u201cWe made this ending exactly what I think it needed to be.\u201d<\/p>\n

Despite the series answering whether Elle and Noah end up together<\/a>, King did offer some hope for fans who\u2019d like to see her back in the kissing booth.<\/p>\n

\u201cSelfishly, do I want to play Elle again? Absolutely,\u201d she said. \u201cBut I think that the story is on its final chapter.\u201d<\/p>\n
