The former soap star has revealed to RadioTimes.com<\/a> that she\u2019s received scripts from fans suggesting how to resurrect her character Roxy.<\/p>\n Speaking ahead of the start of BBC Two\u2019s Pilgrimage<\/a>, which sees her take part in a Catholic trek across Portugal, Simons said that she\u2019s asked about EastEnders by fans on a \u201cdaily\u201d basis.<\/p>\n \u201cTo this day, I will get \u2013 whether it\u2019s tweets, whether it\u2019s someone in the street, whether it\u2019s someone on Instagram, whether it\u2019s a parent of a school \u2013 not that I go to school anymore: \u2018Why did they kill you? Why did they kill you? I stopped watching. Come back, come back. Come on. If they can do it with [Dallas character] Bobby Ewing, they could do it with you.\u2019<\/p> \u201cYeah, I get it every day. I get scripts sent to me of ideas of how to come back from fans. Fans send me scripts that they\u2019ve written. It has not stopped in six years.\u201d<\/p>\n As for whether Roxy can be revived, she said: \u201cIf you see some of the scripts I\u2019ve seen, I mean, who knows? I can\u2019t say any more than that. The whole clich\u00e9 of \u2018never say never\u2019, I don\u2019t know.\u201d<\/p>\n Read more:<\/strong><\/p>\n The actress, who has appeared in Professor T and shows like Celebrity MasterChef, I\u2019m a Celebrity and Celebrity Chase, stars alongside Su Pollard, Bobby Seagull and others in the Pilgrimage cast<\/a>, as they head off on a Catholic pilgrimage from Valenca to Fatima.<\/p>\n Simons said that she chose to sign up for the BBC Two docuseries after fellow actor and friend Les Dennis recommended the experience.<\/p>\n \u201cI go to him for all sorts of work advice all the time because he always knows if a job is worth doing and he has done Pilgrimage and he was like, \u2018It\u2019s incredible \u2013 do it,’\u201d she said.<\/p>\n \u201cAlso I kind of wanted to show a grown-up side to me and just say, \u2018Hey, I am actually now a 46-year-old with two grown-up kids,\u2019 do you know what I mean?
