The rumours were true! Activision has confirmed the next CoD game will be called Call of Duty<\/a>: Vanguard, and it will take the franchise\u2019s fans back to World War 2 once again.<\/p>\n

As is often the case with Call of Duty news, this information had already been leaked to the public, but it\u2019s nice to see the publishers at Activision and the developers at Sledgehammer Games starting to lift the lid on Vanguard in an official capacity.<\/p>\n

Plans are afoot for a Call of Duty: Vanguard reveal event: it\u2019s taking place later this week within Call of Duty: Warzone, and it may well give fans a Vanguard release date to mark in their diaries.<\/p>\n

When is the Call of Duty Vanguard release date?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Activision hasn\u2019t announced a release date through formal channels, but a report from the industry website VGC<\/a> claims that the Call of Duty: Vanguard release date will fall in November 2021. Only time will tell if that turns out to be accurate, of course, but we\u2019ll be sure to let you know if we hear anything.<\/p>\n

When is the Call of Duty Vanguard reveal event?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Activision has confirmed that \u201cthe worldwide reveal of Call of Duty: Vanguard\u201d will take place in Call of Duty: Warzone on Thursday 19th August at 10:30am PST. Here in the UK, that means you\u2019ll want to boot up Warzone at 6:30pm BST on 19th August<\/strong> if you want to witness this event.<\/p>\n

\u2018The Battle of Verdansk\u2019 is the title of the event, which makes it sound like some major action is about to go down in Warzone. Prior to that happening, Activision has shared the image below and the teaser trailer we\u2019ve included further down the page.<\/p>\n

What is the Call of Duty Vanguard story?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Well, we can say with certainty that there will be some kind of war going on. Other than that bit of vital information, there are some other details that we have been able to find that we believe to be true.<\/p>\n

WW2 will be the setting once again with European and Pacific locations said to be featured, according to the latest rumours. The story is said to focus on the rising of the Special Forces, which in WW2 began with the British Commandos at the request of then Prime Minister Winston Churchill, who was looking to create \u201cspecially trained troops of the hunter class, who can develop a reign of terror down the enemy coast\u201d \u2013 sounds primed for a CoD game, then.<\/p>\n
