As the new season of Britain’s Got Talent nears, Bruno Tonioli has revealed what his alternate career path looks like. <\/p>

In the run-up to Britain\u2019s Got Talent<\/a>, new judge<\/a> Bruno Tonioli has teased what his ideal film role would be \u2013 and you may not be expecting it.<\/p>\n

Speaking in this week\u2019s issue of Radio Times magazine<\/strong>, the choreographer and dancer was asked if there was a movie part he\u2019d love to play, especially since he has said that he watched Cabaret repeatedly as a kid.<\/p>\n

He said: \u201cI met Liza Minnelli and it blew my mind\u2026 Actually, I\u2019d like to play a Bond<\/a> villain. Or a mafioso. Or a baddie in a Guy Ritchie movie. Something completely against type. That would be so much fun!\u201d<\/p>\n

Known as the flamboyant and no-nonsense judge in BBC\u2019s Strictly Come Dancing<\/a>, the Italian dancer isn\u2019t quite Daniel Craig\u2019s nemesis (yet) but has now turned his hand to ITV\u2019s Britain\u2019s Got Talent.<\/p>

After speculation that David Walliams had left the BGT lineup<\/a> for 2023 \u2013 following his apology for making \u201cinappropriate\u201d remarks about contestants<\/a> during a 2020 recording \u2013 it was announced that Tonioli would be replacing the Little Britain star on the show.<\/p>\n

Walliams had been on the judging panel since Britain\u2019s Got Talent\u2019s sixth season, when he joined alongside Alesha Dixon to replace David Hasselhoff and Michael McIntyre. Now, Tonioli joins other returning judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden and Dixon.<\/p>\n

When asked about how he coped with filming the lengthy talent show process, Tonioli revealed: \u201cThe energy comes automatically during filming, but then I\u2019m dead, absolutely dead.<\/p>\n

\u201cI lost my voice at the end of the first day on Britain\u2019s Got Talent because I didn\u2019t pace myself. I didn\u2019t know that auditions can run for two or three hours. At least I\u2019m a quick learner.\u201d<\/p>\n

The new season returns to our screens this weekend on Saturday 15th April and will see the winner go home with the \u00a3250,000 prize and the chance to perform at the Royal Variety Performance later this year.<\/p>\n
Previous winners have included Paul Potts, Diversity, Lost Voice Guy and Axel Blake.<\/p>
