Speaking to Radio Times magazine, the comedian and actor has spoken about his decision to step back from television. <\/p>

Jim Moir has revealed that he does not plan to make any more television.<\/p>\n

Speaking in this week\u2019s issue of Radio Times magazine<\/strong><\/a>, the comedian \u2013 best known by his stage name Vic Reeves \u2013 has insisted that his glamorous television days have passed.<\/p>\n

He said: \u201cWe\u2019ve had offers from everywhere. But I\u2019m not doing any more. I\u2019ve given up. I\u2019ve done that.\u201d<\/p>\n

However, Moir explained that he made an exception for his new Sky Arts show Painting Birds with Jim and Nancy Moir, which begins next week.<\/p>\n

\u201cWell, I said I\u2019ll do this one if it\u2019s about painting and bird-watching and I\u2019ll do it with Nancy. And they said yeah,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

In the same interview, Moir also revealed that while similarities may be drawn to Bob Mortimer and his later-life television turn into the natural world \u2013 in Mortimer\u2019s case, Gone Fishing \u2013 the iconic comedy duo don\u2019t actually talk as much as fans would expect.<\/p>\n

Moir said: \u201cWe never really speak much. Bob and I have never been ones for talking on the phone. We\u2019ll see him now and then and have a chat about things.<\/p>\n

\u201cPeople have always thought that with me and Bob. Do you go out in the evening? We always said no, we don\u2019t. We see each other in the daytime, we film. We used to, when we were in our 20s, go out to the boozer, but we don\u2019t really do that any more.\u201d<\/p>\n
