The long-awaited CG-animated take on Nintendo\u2019s famous plumber and his brother Luigi is finally upon us \u2013 and it\u2019s been a huge box office success<\/a>, scoring the most successful global opening of all time for an animated film.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s hardly surprising then that fans are wondering whether The Super Mario Bros Movie<\/a> will become available to stream online from the comfort of their own home.<\/p>\n

Well, there\u2019s good and bad news on this front: while the movie is expected to come to\u00a0Peacock<\/a>\u00a0eventually, an official streaming release date is yet to be announced.<\/p>\n

The new movie follows Mario (voiced by Chris Pratt) and Luigi (Charlie Day) as they set out to start a new plumbing business in Brooklyn.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s not long before their adventure moves to the Mushroom Kingdom, where Mario\u00a0embarks on a mission to save Luigi after he is captured by the villainous Bowser (Jack Black).<\/span><\/p>\n

The movie isn\u2019t currently available to stream and there\u2019s no official streaming release date yet.<\/p>\n

However, given it\u2019s a Universal film, fans can expect the Super Mario Bros Movie to eventually be released on Peacock<\/strong>, which is available\u00a0for Sky and NOW customers in the UK.<\/p>\n

Universal\u2019s past two movies to hit Peacock\u2014 Knock at the Cabin<\/a> and M3GAN<\/a> \u2014 landed on the platform 49 days after landing in cinemas.<\/p>\n

This means we could expect a streaming release date for Super Mario Bros Movie in late May or early August.<\/p>\n

Who stars in Super Mario Bros Movie?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The cast for The Super Mario Bros Movie was revealed during a Nintendo Direct in September 2021, with some fans expressing\u00a0disappointment that Chris Pratt would be voicing the title character rather than long-time Mario voice actor Charles Martinet.<\/p>\n

However, fans needn\u2019t worry: Martinet has multiple cameos in the movie.<\/p>\n

Pratt is joined by\u00a0It\u2019s Always Sunny in Philadelphia<\/a> star Charlie Day as Mario\u2019s brother Luigi, Peaky Blinders<\/a> actress Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach, Jumanji<\/a>\u2018s Jack Black as the villainous Bowser and Keegan-Michael Key as Toad.<\/p>\n
