Who could it be? <\/p>
Dr Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) is set for romance in the coming weeks when he finds himself growing closer to someone in Emmerdale<\/a>.<\/p>\n The resident doctor has been fairly unlucky in love, it\u2019s fair to say, with his recent romances with Bernice Blackstock (Samantha Giles) and Leyla Harding (Roxy Shahidi) both ending in disaster.<\/p>\n But according to Emmerdale boss Jane Hudson, there may be love on the horizon for Liam with someone viewers might not expect.<\/p> \u201cWe\u2019ve got a more light-hearted story with Liam our doctor, or should we say Dr Love, and it\u2019s going to be something that will actually take you all by surprise.<\/p>\n \u201cIt starts off as quite a fun story, but at the heart of it, there\u2019s something serious which will come out down the line. It\u2019s a great story.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019ll see Liam and another character in a way we perhaps haven\u2019t seen them before, so I can\u2019t wait to watch that.\u201d<\/p>\n As for who it is, viewers will have to stay tuned into Emmerdale to find out.<\/p>\n Elsewhere, there\u2019s going to be a returning character coming by the end of summer \u2013 but their identity is being kept under tight wraps for now.<\/p>\n \u201cBefore we get to the end of summer, we\u2019ll have a familiar face returning which I think the audience will be absolutely delighted with,\u201d Hudson cryptically teased before adding she hopes they\u2019ll be a part of the action \u201cfor the foreseeable\u201d.<\/p>\n Read more:<\/strong><\/p>\n Emmerdale<\/a>\u00a0airs on weekdays at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
