Who could it be? <\/p>
Emmerdale will be bringing back a familiar face in the coming weeks, according to boss Jane Hudson.<\/p>\n
The ITV soap is no stranger to bringing back old characters after recently announcing the return of Thomas King Jr.<\/a> and this summer we\u2019ll have another comeback to look forward to.<\/p>\n Speaking to press including RadioTimes.com<\/a> at a recent event, Hudson revealed what\u2019s coming in the next couple of months on the ITV soap.<\/p>\n \u201cBefore we get to the end of summer, we\u2019ll have a familiar face returning which I think the audience will be absolutely delighted with,\u201d Hudson cryptically teased before adding she hopes they\u2019ll be a part of the action \u201cfor the foreseeable\u201d.<\/p> Keeping cards close to her chest about who the mystery Emmerdale<\/a> character is, Hudson did reveal they will be connected to upcoming wedding storylines.<\/p>\n Adding there\u2019ll be \u201cat least one wedding\u201d before summer\u2019s up, Hudson added: \u201cEverybody\u2019s connected to somebody in Emmerdale, aren\u2019t they? I could tell you a family but it wouldn\u2019t help you in the slightest. The returning character is coming back for one of the weddings\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n As for who this could possibly be, it might be easier to think about who could be getting married. So far, the only engaged couples are Charity and Mack (who\u2019s wedding airs this week), and Nicky and Gabby.<\/p>\n Nicky and Gabby\u2019s upcoming wedding (if it goes ahead at all given Nicky\u2019s deceitful secret<\/a>) would throw up the most likely comebacks.<\/p>\n Could Diane (Elizabeth Estensen) make her way back for Gabby\u2019s big day?
