Obsession is Netflix<\/a>\u2019s latest attempt to hook in subscribers with an erotic thriller.<\/span><\/p>\n

Based on <\/span>Josephine Hart\u2019s novella Damage, the series centres on the love triangle and affair between the enigmatic Anna and her fianc\u00e9e\u2019s father, William, that soon descends into a dangerous obsession with fatal consequences<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The series boasts a cast of familiar faces, with <\/span>Richard Armitage<\/span><\/a> (The Stranger) and Charlie Murphy (<\/span>Happy Valley<\/span><\/a>) leading the cast as William Farrow and Anna Barton respectively, while\u00a0<\/span>The Capture<\/span><\/a>\u2018s Indira Varma and <\/span>Ms Marvel<\/span><\/a>\u2018s Rish Shah also star.<\/span><\/p>\n

Talking about Obsession\u2019s erotic scenes<\/a>, which have left many viewers stunned,\u00a0<\/span>Armitage recently t<\/span>old <\/span>Radio Times magazine: \u201c<\/b>Everyone was asking, \u2018Is this a temperature you\u2019re comfortable with?\u2019 I said, \u2018Bring it on. Let\u2019s not be British about this.\u2019\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

He continued: \u201cThat prudishness is, I think, not cool. I love watching French movies where they\u2019re more like: \u2018This is the body, this is the body moving in life, this is the body in intimacy\u2026\u2019 This is a great opportunity to look at human interaction in a really intense way, which becomes a fatal attraction.
