The nature documentary, produced by The Mandalorian\u2019s Jon Favreau, returns for a second season at the end of this month with Attenborough back to narrate more sequences featuring computer-generated dinosaurs.<\/p>\n
Speaking to RadioTimes.com<\/a><\/strong> in an exclusive interview, producer Tim Walker opened up about working with Attenborough on the show.<\/p>\n \u201cWhen we do our voiceover records with him, it is one of the most magical moments.<\/p>\n \u201cWe worked with him on the script, obviously, the voiceover scripts, and then it gets to the day when you\u2019re going to do it and when he records, he records it in one go. So you press start, he reads it and then press stop.<\/p>\n \u201cThere\u2019s a few pickups afterwards and what have you, but basically, it\u2019s like having the world\u2019s best storyteller reading you a bedtime story of the images that you\u2019ve spent years creating. It\u2019s just absolutely magical.\u201d<\/p>\n Read more:<\/strong><\/p>\n Executive producer Mike Gunton, who has worked with Attenborough on Dynasties, Planet Earth II and Life among other programmes, said that Prehistoric Planet season 2 features one of the broadcaster\u2019s \u201cbest narrations\u201d.<\/p>\n \u201cAnd I\u2019ve done a lot,\u201d he said. \u201cThese are some of the best narrations he\u2019s ever done and it\u2019s been an absolute pleasure to work with him because he\u2019s brought such enthusiasm to it.\u201d<\/p> He continued:\u00a0\u201cIn fact, when we did the very last commentary recording of the last of this series, he said, \u2018Great \u2013 well, that\u2019s fantastic. So when\u2019s the next one?\u2019 and I said, \u2018Well that\u2019s it, David. That\u2019s the last one.\u2019<\/p>\n \u201cHe said, \u2018No, it can\u2019t be, this makes my week when I get a new one of these coming through.\u2019 I think he\u2019s fascinated in the subject anyway. To be honest, how could you ever do this without him?
