The Great Fairy Fountains are back in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom<\/a> and you\u2019ll want to find them all if you wish to upgrade your armour.<\/p>\n

Just as in Breath of the Wild, the Great Fairy Fountains can be used to upgrade your armour, so long as you have the correct crafting materials required and the rupees to tempt the Fairies out of the water.<\/p>\n

They are useful locations to learn and remember and, luckily for you, we know where all of them are. This time around, though, you\u2019ll need to help the Stable Trotters musical troupe with individual side quests to unlock the Great Fairy Fountains.<\/p>\n

Note that you\u2019ll want to unlock all the Skyview Towers<\/a> before you take on these quests, because working your way to the Great Fairy Fountains will send you all over the world. Activating the towers will fill in your map with all sorts of handy details.<\/p>\n

Of course, upping your armour level with the Great Fairy Fountains may help you take on powerful foes like Lynels<\/a>. If battling is what you\u2019re struggling with, it wouldn\u2019t hurt to have the Hylian Shield<\/a> and Master Sword<\/a> as well, and remember to work through shrines<\/a> to increase your maximum health and stamina.<\/p>\n

All Great Fairy Fountain locations in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom<\/strong><\/h2>\nThere are four Great Fairy Fountains in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. The easiest way to find all four is to follow the steps in the helpful YouTube video from Nintendo Unity<\/a> below.<\/p>\n\nThis video shows you where to go to start each of the four Great Fairy side quests and how to complete them. You need to complete a side quest<\/strong> to unlock each Great Fairy Fountain.<\/p>\nIt seems as though once you\u2019ve found Great Fairy Tera<\/strong> nearby the Woodland Stable, you can find the rest in any order.<\/p>\nWe\u2019ve got written instructions down below for you, too, if you\u2019d prefer to follow them instead. This is the order we\u2019d recommend doing them in, too.<\/p>\n<h2>How to unlock Great Fairy Fountains in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom<\/strong><\/h2>\nTo unlock Great Fairy Fountains, you will need to serenade each Great Fairy to get them out of their buds.<\/p>\nAs we mentioned above, this involves a separate sidequest for each Great Fairy, starting with Great Fairy Tera near the Woodland Stable.<\/p>\nTo begin these quests,\u00a0you will need to talk to the Lucky Clover Gazette near Rito Village (make sure to equip your <a href=\"\/\/www.radiotimes.com\/technology\/gaming\/zelda-tears-of-the-kingdom-warm-clothes-food\/"\" target=\""_blank"\" rel=\""noopener" noopener noreferrer\">warm clothes<\/a> on that journey) and become a reporter.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\nThis will unlock various side quests for you around Hyrule, including the Potential Princess Sightings quest that has you seeking out stable locations across the map, alongside the Great Fairy Fountain quests.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>Great Fairy Tera \u2013 \u2018Serenade to a Great Fairy\u2019<\/strong><\/h3>\nHead to Woodland Stable located northeast of Lookout Landing and near <\/span>Pico Pond \u2013 the same location as in Breath of the Wild.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\nHere, find Penn, another of the Lucky Clover Gazette reporters, and speak to Mastro and the<\/span>\u00a0Stable Trotters musical troupe.<\/p>\nMastro\u2019s band, the Stable Trotters, want to awaken the Great Fairy Tera, but cannot do so as their cart is broken. To complete this side quest, you will need to fix the cart using Ultrahand, and use a horse to tow the cart.<\/span><\/p>\nTo tow the cart, you will need to unlock the Towing Harness with three Pony Points. You get one Pony Point after talking to the stablemaster at every stable, registering a horse, or for sleeping at a stable, which costs 20 Rupees.<\/span><\/p>\nSpeak to the troupe again to get them into the carriage and take them to the star located on the map to find and unlock the Great Fairy Tera. Upon reaching Tera, you\u2019ll see a cutscene, after which you can start upgrading!<\/span><\/p> <h3>Great Fairy Cotera \u2013 \u2018Serenade to Cotera\u2019<\/strong><\/h3>\nHead to the Dueling Peaks Stable south of Kakariko Village. Speak to the musical troupe and find drummer Beetz. Beetz is located on the right of the main road leading into the southeast of Kakariko Village.<\/p>\nCollect some Courser Bee Honey (Beetz tells you where to go) and give it to Beetz once you have some. Go back to the Dueling Peaks Stable.<\/p>\nCross the river to the Great Fairy flower bud by making a boat big enough for you all. Remember to attach a fan!<\/p>\n<h3>Great Fairy Kaysa \u2013 \u2018Serenade to Kaysa\u2019<\/strong><\/h3>\nHead to Outskirt Stable to the south-west of Hyrule Field. Speak to the troupe and find Pyper, a flautist. Pyper is at Highland Stable.<\/p>\nFollow the sound of the flute to Pyper standing on top of a tree just beyond the well. Find and give Pyper ten sunset fireflies. These only appear at night and can be found in the Finra Woods and Pagos Woods.<\/p>\nNow, find Haite, the little girl inside the stable.\u00a0 and bring her to the tree at night. Return to Outskirt Stable.<\/p>\nFix the carriage with Zonai Wheels and Lever and take the troupe up the hill to the Great Fairy Kaysa.<\/p> <div class=\""brightcove\" embed=\"\"> <div class=\""embed__intrinsic"\"> <div class=\""brightcove__player\" vjs-playlist-player-container=\"\"> <video data-video-id=\"6327096131112\" data-account=\"69912529001\" data-player=\"ByeOf0VZEl\" data-embed=\""default"\" data-application-id=\"\" controls=\"\" class=\""video-js"\"> <\/video> <\/div> <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<script src=\""\/\/players.brightcove.net\/69912529001\/ByeOf0VZEl_default\/index.min.js"\"\/> <h3>Great Fairy Mija \u2013 \u2018Serenade to Mija\u2019<\/strong><\/h3>\nHead to Snowfield Stable in Tabantha Tundra. Speak to the troupe once more and head off to find horn-player Eustus. You\u2019ll find Eustus stuck in a big hole south of Nero Hill and west of Piper Ridge.<\/p>\nCreate an updraft in the campfire and attach the balloon to the carriage to lift Eustus out of the hole (or just use the boxes to rest the carriage on and lift him out the hole with Ultrahand).<\/p>\nReturn to the Snowfield Stable and speak to the troupe. Fix the carriage with a roof to keep it warm. Take the troupe to the Great Fairy flower bud marked on your map with a horse.
