Fans are trying to get to grips with the fact that the Doctor Who, Broadchurch and Inside Man actor has never been nominated for a BAFTA. <\/p>
Among the jam-packed schedule of last night\u2019s BAFTA TV Awards<\/a>, there was one bone of contention that has got many fans talking.<\/p>\n Presenting the award for Features at Sunday night\u2019s ceremony<\/a>, David Tennant<\/a> and Catherine Tate took to the stage where they joked about the fact that Tennant has never been nominated for an award.<\/p>\n Tate joked and admitted that in her time onscreen, she\u2019s been nominated six times \u201cand never won\u201d but when she posed the question to Tennant, he simply said: \u201cNever\u2026 none times, zero.\u201d<\/p>\n Tate made light of the fact, saying: \u201cStill, I don\u2019t know what\u2019s worse \u2013 being nominated six times and never winning or never being nominated,\u201d to which Tennant nodded and agreed that it\u2019s the latter. \u201cThat\u2019s much much worse,\u201d he said.<\/p> Of course, the revelation has left many fans shocked at the fact that the fan-favourite actor has never received a BAFTA nomination. He has been nominated for BAFTA Scotland and Wales but not the main BAFTAs.<\/p>\n With recent standout performances in the likes of ITV true crime drama Des, Channel 4\u2019s Deadwater Fell, Around The World in 80 Days, it\u2019s safe to say that the internet and his adoring fans have been left confused at the fact.<\/p>\n Fans quickly took to Twitter to express their surprise that the former Doctor Who lead had never been up for a BAFTA, with one user writing<\/a>: \u201cHOW HAS THE LEGENDARY DAVID TENNANT NEVER BEEN NOMINATED FOR A BAFTA??
