Fans of To All the Boys have been following the story of Kitty Song Covey (Anna Cathcart) for several years, but even they might be surprised by the turn it takes in the finale of her Netflix<\/a> spin-off.<\/p>\n

XO, Kitty<\/a> saw the title character go through a major relocation to take up a place at the aptly acronym-ed Korean Independent School of Seoul (KISS).<\/p>\n

Although she had originally wanted to move there to be closer to her long-distance boyfriend, Dae\u00a0(Minyeong Choi), an early speed bump started her down a path towards someone else altogether: former nemesis Yuri (Gia Kim).<\/p>\n

On the revelation, Cathcart said (via TUDUM<\/a>): \u201cXO, Kitty is really about Kitty learning that love can look a lot of different ways and that it\u2019s not something that you necessarily can figure out super easily.\u201d<\/p>\n

As if reconciling her feelings towards Dae and Yuri isn\u2019t complicated enough, she is then faced with another declaration of love from yet another potential flame \u2013 turning her love triangle into a love square.<\/p>\n

Kitty, who had never considered dating girls, had developed romantic feelings for Yuri. The pair clashed for much of season 1 due to the social media influencer\u2019s fake relationship with Dae, which she orchestrated to hide her sexuality from her parents. But over time, they realised they had more in common than divided them, namely the friendship their mums had shared when they attended KISS, and eventually, all of the animosity fell away, leaving Kitty smitten.<\/p>\n

There were a handful of moments when she could have told Yuri how she was feeling, but it wasn\u2019t until Kitty was at the airport, about to catch a flight home after being expelled from KISS for breaking the conditions of her scholarship when she decided to bite the bullet.<\/p>\n

\u201cI may never see you again, so I need to tell you this to you face,\u201d she said. \u201cI thought I knew everything there was to know about love, but then I met you.\u201d<\/p>\n

Yuri, who was listening intently, was about to respond when her girlfriend Juliana arrived and with that, the moment was gone, with Kitty leaving them to embrace.<\/p>
