Following Phillip Schofield\u2019s abrupt departure<\/a> from ITV\u2019s This Morning over the weekend, fans of the channel\u2019s hit ice skating competition Dancing on Ice<\/a> have been speculating as to what this means for the show\u2019s future.<\/p>\n

The series has been presented by Schofield for every season since its first in 2006, while Willoughby has presented all but seasons seven, eight and nine, when Christine Bleakley stepped into the role.<\/p>\n

Now, RadioTimes.com<\/a> can confirm that further announcements regarding the ITV primetime show will be made \u201cin due course\u201d, with the series expected to return in January 2024. It is not currently in production.<\/p>\n

When Schofield left This Morning, Willoughby said in a statement: \u201cIt\u2019s been over 13 great years presenting This Morning with Phil and I want to take this opportunity to thank him for all of his knowledge, his experience and his humour. The sofa won\u2019t feel the same without him.\u201d<\/p>\n
