Star Trek Fans, prepare for a big “Surprise!” <\/p>

The crossover between Star Trek: Strange New Worlds<\/a> and Lower Decks<\/a> has suddenly got a whole lot more real now we\u2019ve seen it on screen!<\/p>\n

A new trailer for season 2 of Strange New Worlds has been released, teasing a whole new set of adventures of Captain Pike (Anson Mount), Spock (Ethan Peck) and co on board the Enterprise.<\/p>\n

Plus \u2013 who should turn up? Only Lower Decks\u2019 Beckett Mariner (Tawny Newsome) and Brad Boimler (Jack Quaid).<\/p>\n

The pair, who fans will be used to seeing in animated form, cropped up in the trailer, to tell the crew: \u201cSurprise!\u201d<\/p>\n

Teeing up the crossover even more, Uhura (Celia Rose Gooding) is heard telling the crew: \u201cDo you know the odds of all of us being here at this time? It\u2019s improbable and yet here we are, together.\u201d<\/p>\n\n<p>Co-showrunner Akiva Goldsman previously teased that he\u2019s not opposed to more crossovers in the future either.<\/p>\n<p>He told <a href=\"\/\/www.gamesradar.com\/uk\/sfx\/"\" target=\""_blank"\" rel=\""noopener" noopener noreferrer\">SFX<\/a>: \u201cI am as promiscuous as it comes when we discuss the crossing over into other series timelines. I delight in that.\u201d<\/p> <p>He continued: \u201cI think our rule is always it can\u2019t just be fanservice \u2013 which is not to say that we don\u2019t love servicing fans, but there also has to be a real storytelling get.
