The new family move into the Queen Vic very quickly with Elaine (Harriet Thorpe) and while they\u2019re playing happy families, it\u2019s a different story for Linda (Kellie Bright), who\u2019s less pleased to have her mother\u2019s boyfriend taking over.<\/p>\n
Speaking about the drama we can expect from the Knights, executive producer Chris Clenshaw opened up on his plans for the new family \u2013 including who they\u2019ll get on with, and who they\u2019ll clash with.<\/p>\n
Speaking to press including RadioTimes.com<\/a>, Clenshaw said: \u201cThey arrive with a few bags, but they\u2019ve got a lot of baggage. Because they\u2019re at the heart of the Square, there\u2019s a lot of interactions with most of the community.<\/p>\n \u201cThey arrive and the community has just lost Lola, so they\u2019re thrust into that world and have to go through that process.<\/p>\n \u201cGeorge is a former boxer and from the East End, so he\u2019s known by Phil \u2013 they strike up a quick friendship which is an interesting territory. A lot of people were questioning whether they were going to be enemies but they\u2019re going to be friends.\u201d<\/p> While the new family settles in, there\u2019s one person who isn\u2019t happy \u2013 Linda.<\/p>\n Speaking about what the future holds for Linda, Bright said: \u201cIt\u2019s a bit of a shock to the system and she suddenly has to not only share her pub, but share her whole world. They move in and it\u2019s a real transitional time.<\/p>\n She\u2019s added: \u201cLinda\u2019s lost Mick, Linda\u2019s very scarred by Janine, so for her everyone is the enemy and no-one is to be trusted \u2013 especially not this man who as far as she\u2019s concerned her mum doesn\u2019t know nearly well enough.<\/p>\n \u201cShe\u2019s scarred by what\u2019s happened to her.\u201d<\/p>\n Discussing the dynamics of the new family on set, Bright added: \u201cIt\u2019s been wonderful to play and I\u2019ve really enjoyed the last few months and I feel very lucky and I feel like they\u2019ve breathed life into Linda.<\/p>\n \u201cThe pub needs a family in it, so I\u2019m grateful for that.
