There’ll be a romance with a mysterious character whose identity will “shock” viewers. <\/p>
Grantchester star Tom Brittney has teased a surprising \u201cwill-they-won\u2019t-they\u201d romance for his motorcycle-riding character, Reverend Will Davenport<\/a>.<\/p>\n Speaking to RadioTimes.com<\/a> and other press ahead of season six, he revealed that Will has been \u201csexually liberated\u201d since breaking his vow of celibacy at the end of season five (with a nun, no less).<\/p>\n The actor teased that viewers would see a short-lived holiday romance develop in episode one, but that later in the season there\u2019ll be romantic tension with a mysterious character whose identity will \u201cshock\u201d viewers.<\/p>\n Talking about his character\u2019s season arc, Brittney said, \u201cI\u2019m sexually liberated\u2026 and the minute I suddenly start to relax at this holiday park, and I maybe think that there\u2019s a girl that I have feelings for, it all comes crashing down in quite a dramatic fashion. And I think that maybe puts me off the idea for a bit. I\u2019m trying to think of what how much I can say about my\u2026 romantic storyline.\u201d<\/p>\n He continued, \u201cThere is more. It\u2019s quite shocking. There\u2019s a will-they-won\u2019t-they kind of thing, but it\u2019s a bit shocking who that person may be.\u201d<\/p>\n In the recently released Grantchester<\/a> trailer, we see Will on a group holiday to the fictional Merries holiday camp with DI Geordie Keating (Robson Green) , before we see a glimpse of Will stripping off for a moonlight swim with a female holidaymaker.<\/p> In the same interview, Robson Green teased that Grantchester season six would be the \u201cmost powerful\u201d instalment of the series so far.<\/p>\n \u201cIt is an intense series. It\u2019s incredibly powerful.
