Alex Kingston spoke about a potential return for her fan-favourite character in this month’s Doctor Who Magazine. <\/p>
As the Doctor Who<\/a> 60th anniversary specials and season 14 get ever closer, we already know a number of the show\u2019s stars who will be returning to their roles.<\/p>\n David Tennant<\/a>, Catherine Tate, Jemma Redgrave<\/a> and more are all already confirmed as coming back, as well as a mystery season 1 guest star<\/a> and an \u201cunexpected name from the Tom Baker era\u201d<\/a>.<\/p>\n However, one figure who hasn\u2019t yet been mentioned for a potential return is River Song<\/a>, the Doctor\u2019s wife who is played primarily by Alex Kingston and has had adventures with the Tenth, Eleventh and Twelfth Doctors. That is, until now.<\/p>\n Speaking with this month\u2019s Doctor Who Magazine<\/a>, Kingston teased a potential return for the character, saying: \u201cYou can go forward with River, you don\u2019t always have to go back. She\u2019s saved within a computer and she can then go anywhere. I don\u2019t think she\u2019s quite gone yet.\u201d<\/p>\n It\u2019s new DWM day!
