The dragons are back in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, but if you\u2019re diving into the game and are struggling to find all of their locations and the routes, don\u2019t worry, we\u2019ve got you covered.<\/p>\n

Finding the dragons is one of the more difficult search quests for the new game, proving to be more elusive than Lynels<\/a> to the Hinox<\/a> and tricky to find on the map.<\/p>\n

Locating them can therefore be a frustrating task, even if you think you know your stuff after completely the same quest in Breath of the Wild<\/a>.<\/p>\n

You may be considering giving up on this particular task, but it is definitely worth finding them, as the dragons drop some crucial loot, including one of the best weapons you can come across in the game.<\/p>\n

So, if you\u2019re finding the dragon locations difficult to pin down, and struggling to locate the routes in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, then read on for our full guidance on how to do so.<\/p>\n

All dragon locations in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom<\/strong><\/h2>\n
If you want to find all the dragon locations in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, definitely check out the video below from YouTuber LunarGaming.<\/p>\n\n<p>It\u2019s difficult to note exactly where each dragon is located, as they don\u2019t stay still, or in a small area.\u00a0 The majestic creatures are constantly in motion. This not only makes it difficult to land on them but also difficult to find them in the first place.<\/p>\n<p>However, they do have a vague flight pattern, and the dragons tend to stick to their own specific region. Here\u2019s where to find each dragon<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Farosh, the Lightning Dragon location<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Farosh is the lighting dragon, so we recommend getting that rubber armour before you jump on!<\/p>\n<p>He\u2019s usually flying around the southwest area of the map, specifically the Gerudo Desert and Lake Hylia.<\/p>\n<p>Good jumping points include the Gerudo Canyon and the Gerudo Highlands <a href=\"\/\/www.radiotimes.com\/technology\/gaming\/zelda-tears-of-the-kingdom-tower-locations\/"\" target=\""_blank"\" rel=\""noopener" noopener noreferrer\">Skyview Towers<\/a>. They\u2019re probably good lookout points, too.<\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019re struggling to find Farosh, you can watch a detailed rundown of how to do so on <a href=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=rQBNstzFsBg"\" target=\""_blank"\" rel=\""noopener" noopener noreferrer\">YouTube here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Dinraal, the Fire Dragon location<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>As Dinraal is the fire dragon, we recommend getting heat resistance first. Otherwise, it\u2019ll be a case of constant jumping and healing after you\u2019ve landed.<\/p>\n<p>Once you\u2019re ready, look for Dinraal in the Eldin Mountains and Deep Akkala regions, towards the northeast area of the map.<\/p>\n<p>You can watch a video on <a href=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=sYRyZQ8JQ4U"\" target=\""_blank"\" rel=\""noopener" noopener noreferrer\">how to find Dinraal here<\/a>.<\/p> <h3><strong>Naydra, the Ice Dragon location<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Naydra is opposite of Dinraal, in that they\u2019re an ice dragon. But the same sort of deal applies. Get the cold resistance buff (or equip some <a href=\""https:\/\/www.radiotimes.com\/technology\/gaming\/zelda-tears-of-the-kingdom-warm-clothes-food\/"\">warm clothes<\/a>) to make mining this dragon a lot easier!<\/p>\n<p>Naydra is often flying around the East Necluda and Mount Lanayru regions, in the southeast corner of the map.<\/p>\n<p>Not sure how to find Naydra? Check out <a href=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=XDYvZ6_wrdo"\" target=\""_blank"\" rel=\""noopener" noopener noreferrer\">this YouTube video<\/a> for some pointers.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>The Light Dragon location<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>And now for the most challenging of the lot. The Light Dragon one wasn\u2019t in Breath of the Wild, and it\u2019s a challenging addition to Tears of the Kingdom.<\/p>\n<p>Well, it\u2019s a double-edged sword. The Light Dragon has no protective element like the others, so you can land on its back safely. Unfortunately though, spotting it is a nightmare because it doesn\u2019t have a preferred region. It could be anywhere on the map.<\/p>\n<p>We have seen it reported that the Light Dragon basically does a continuous lap of the entire map\u2019s outer edge, so it might be wise to pick a high spot near the edge of the world (e.g. The Water Temple, the eastern-most of the four main <a href=\"\/\/www.radiotimes.com\/technology\/gaming\/zelda-tears-of-the-kingdom-dungeons\/"\" target=\""_blank"\" rel=\""noopener" noopener noreferrer\">Dungeons<\/a>) and wait there in the hope of making a sighting.<\/p>\n<p>While it\u2019s difficult to find, you\u00a0<em>can<\/em> unlock a kind of compass that always points to the Light Dragon. If you make it through the Lost Woods and defeat Phantom Ganon, the Deku Tree will give you the \u201cRecovering the Hero\u2019s Sword\u201d quest. As long as you have this quest selected in your log, the elusive dragon\u2019s location will be revealed.<\/p>\n<p>Still need more help? Is there any bigger incentive? You\u2019ll see the origin story of this dragon if you visit all the <a href=\"\/\/www.radiotimes.com\/technology\/gaming\/zelda-tears-of-the-kingdom-geoglyph-locations\/"\" target=\""_blank"\" Kingdom<\/span><\/figcaption><span class=\""im-image-caption"\"\/><\/div>\n<p>As we mentioned, you\u2019ll need to find the Light Dragon to unlock the Master Sword, but that\u2019s not the only reward available for reaching these mythical creatures.<\/p>\n<p>When on top of one of the dragons, you\u2019ll be able to grab some of the following materials, depending on where you attack:<\/p>\n<ul><li><strong>Dragon Claw:<\/strong> Located on the dragon\u2019s feet<\/li>\n<li><strong>Dragon Fang:<\/strong> Located on the dragon\u2019s head\/mouth<\/li>\n<li><strong>Dragon Scale:<\/strong> Located on the dragon\u2019s body<\/li>\n<li><strong>Dragon Horn:\u00a0<\/strong>Located on the dragon\u2019s horn<\/li>\n<li><strong>Shards of Dragon Spike:<\/strong> Located on the dragon\u2019s back<\/li>\n<\/ul><p>Keep in mind that aside from the shards of dragon spike, you can only get one of the various materials each time you land on a dragon.<\/p>\n<p>These are all named after the respective dragon you attack, so a dragon scale is actually Farosh\u2019s Scale, while a Dragon Claw is Farosh\u2019s Claw, and so on.<\/p>\n<p>You can use these dragon materials to cook Elixirs or Fuse them to certain weapons. Some armour upgrades will also require material from all three dragons, so it might be worth saving them, too.
