The EastEnders veteran has seen many faces come and go over the last 25 years. <\/p>

Actor Perry Fenwick has described Lola Pearce-Brown\u2019s death as the most \u201cdevastating\u201d exit during his time at EastEnders<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Lola Pearce-Brown (Danielle Harold) will die<\/a> in upcoming episodes as her battle with her terminal brain tumour comes to an end.<\/p>\n

Speaking at a press event for Lola\u2019s final episode, actor Perry Fenwick spoke about the difficulty of portraying Lola\u2019s final goodbye to her loved ones, including his character \u2013 her grandfather Billy Mitchell.<\/p>\n

\u201cI mean, I\u2019ve been on the show, 25 years,\u201d said Fenwick. \u201cI\u2019ve seen a lot of people come and go, but my last scenes with this one [Danielle Harold] \u2013 just devastating.\u201d<\/p>

He added, that in the show, Lola\u2019s family lose her but that it was a loss on set too as they have lost their co-star Danielle Harold<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Fenwick added that the actors approached this sensitive story piece by piece as their \u201clittle Sistine Chapel\u201d, with them \u201cpainting\u201d it every time they shot.<\/p>\n

The EastEnders veteran also noted that there was no need for \u201ctear sticks\u201d to produce tears from the performances, also noted the trouble was \u201d not crying before you\u2019re meant to\u201d.<\/p>\n

He added: \u201cYeah, it\u2019s been hard, but it\u2019s kind of I think, the message that it\u2019s put out and for the show.<\/p>\n

\u201cChris [Clenshaw, executive producer], for the actors for you know, there\u2019s a few of us in this storyline, we\u2019ve kind of been on the back bench for a while in terms of EastEnders, so it really is a fantastic opportunity.\u201d<\/p>\n

Speaking about the impact of losing Lola on her beloved \u201cPops\u201d, Fenwick made clear his character would be forever altered.<\/p>\n

Fenwick added: \u201cYou know that, clearly, he\u2019s never gonna be the same man again.\u201d<\/p>\n

It\u2019s clear the aftermath of Lola\u2019s death will be felt for a while to come as her family each deal with her passing in their own ways.<\/p>\n

Executive producer Clenshaw noted: \u201cBilly, Ben, Jay, Lexi, Honey, it will obviously have devastating consequences for the family.\u201d<\/p>\n

He continued: \u201cI think Lola has been in this position where she has been aware of what kind of has been coming down the line. So she\u2019s actually, you know, she\u2019s given some certain requests to the family. You know, she\u2019s asked Jay to make sure that he always is speaking to Lexi, she should put certain things in place.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo, in a kind of immediate future, they really pull together as a family, I think and they\u2019re there for each other. But that may not last forever. Yeah, it\u2019s gonna be a difficult, difficult process.<\/p>\n

\u201cObviously, It\u2019s a sad ending for Lola, but it doesn\u2019t stop there for the rest of the family. Unfortunately.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lola\u2019s final scenes will be broadcast on Wednesday 31st May 2023.<\/p>\n
