Shameik Moore talks exclusively to RadioTimes.com about his desire to bring Miles Morales to life in the MCU, the humanity of his superhero and why representation is so important in the saga. <\/p>

Miles Morales returns for the next chapter of the Academy Award-winning Spider-Verse saga in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse<\/a>, as Brooklyn\u2019s friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man is reunited with Gwen Stacy to embark on a dangerous journey across the multiverse.<\/p>\n

Voicing the web-slinging vigilante in the Across the Spider-Verse cast<\/a> is Shameik Moore, who expressed his desire to bring Miles Morales to the MCU in a live-action movie.<\/p>\n

He told RadioTimes.com<\/a>: \u201cI want Miles Morales\u2026 I am Miles Morales! [Producer] Amy Pascal said they\u2019re doing something, right? I guess we will see!\u201d<\/p>\n

Speaking at the film\u2019s premiere earlier this week, Pascal told Variety<\/a> that a live-action Miles Morales movie is in the works, saying: \u201cYou\u2019ll see all of it. It\u2019s all happening.\u201d<\/p>\n

As for what\u2019s in store for the animated Miles, Across the Spider-Verse is the first of two parts, with Beyond the Spider-Verse<\/a> expected to be released in early 2024.<\/p>\n

Even though the first part has only just hit cinemas, anticipation will inevitably be high as the movie has broken new boundaries in animation and hooked audiences with electrifying twists and turns.<\/p>\n

However, Moore wasn\u2019t giving much away when asked what fans can expect from the upcoming Beyond the Spider-Verse, as he simply said: \u201cProbably more Spider-People!\u201d<\/p>\n

Across the Spider-Verse is a groundbreaking animation full of stunning visuals, nail-biting suspense and thrilling action, although at the heart of the movie is teenager Miles Morales trying to balance being a superhero but also a high school student and the challenges that come with growing up.<\/p>\n

Moore believes that realism is one of the most important aspects of the saga and is part of the reason why the first movie was so successful.<\/p>\n

He said: \u201cExploring the humanity of superheroes is the best part, the relatability. I feel like relatability is what\u2019s selling this movie. The diversity, the worlds and the inclusion of Spider-People, etc.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat moral compass, knowing the difference between what\u2019s right and what\u2019s wrong and staying true to yourself, I think that\u2019s the most relatable thing about this movie.\u201d<\/p>
