Lewis Cope hopes we can meet Nicky’s mum one day. <\/p>
Ever since Nicky (played by Lewis Cope) arrived in Emmerdale<\/a>, his endless amount of secrets have been spilling out.<\/p>\n The newcomer was hiding the fact he was Caleb\u2019s (William Ash) son while also faking a relationship with Gabby (Rosie Bentham).<\/p>\n But there\u2019s one mysterious part of his family we\u2019re yet to get to grips with \u2013 his mother.<\/p> Speaking to RadioTimes.com<\/a> at the British Soap Awards, the actor who plays Nicky reflected on how important the maternal character is in his life.<\/p>\n Cope explained: \u201cFor Nicky \u2013 all the way through it\u2019s been about his mother. The whole plan and getting revenge and money for Nicky is about making sure his mam\u2019s alright. He\u2019s always had the motive to do it because of his mam.<\/p>\n \u201cBut he\u2019s resented his dad for that because he has been forced to do it. When he does find out down the line that Caleb\u2019s motives aren\u2019t what he thought, he feels very betrayed.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019d love to meet her because she\u2019s been such a pivotal part of the story and drive for Nicky being in the village, so I\u2019d love for her to come in but so far, I haven\u2019t heard of any plans of her coming in.\u201d<\/p>\n As for Nicky\u2019s future in Emmerdale, he\u2019s going nowhere, with Lewis confirming he\u2019s \u201cenjoying\u201d working on the soap and will be sticking around for the foreseeable.<\/p>\n Read more:<\/strong><\/p>\n Emmerdale<\/a>\u00a0airs on weekdays at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
