Would you be up for more suburban scandal? <\/p>
Eva Longoria has given hope to Desperate Housewives<\/a> fans clamouring for a revival, telling ITV\u2019s Lorraine that creator Marc Cherry could be tempted to return to Wisteria Lane.<\/p>\n The comedy-drama was one of the most popular shows on television during its initial run, airing on US broadcaster ABC between 2004 and 2012.<\/p>\n The series followed the private scandals of a suburban neighbourhood, with a particular focus on Gabrielle Solis (played by Longoria), Susan Mayer (Teri Hatcher), Lynette Scavo (Felicity Huffman) and Bree Van de Kamp (Marcia Cross).<\/p>\n During an interview to promote Flamin\u2019 Hot, her feature directorial debut coming to Disney Plus<\/a>, Longoria discussed the prospect of a Desperate Housewives reunion with reporter Ross King.<\/p> \u201cI\u2019d be the first one to sign up. I\u2019d probably be the only one,\u201d she laughed, before offering some insight on the likelihood of a revival.<\/p>\n \u201cI always tell Marc [Cherry, creator]: \u2018So, you wouldn\u2019t do a reboot?\u2019 He just thinks we have fully mined those characters,\u201d she continued. \u201cHe doesn\u2019t know what else there is to say about those characters.\u201d<\/p>\n Read more:<\/strong><\/p>\n That may not be what fans of the series want to hear, but Longoria went on to offer hope that the world of Desperate Housewives could live on, albeit without the original characters.<\/p>\n She added: \u201cI think he\u2019d do a new show on Wisteria Lane. A new set of women.\u201d<\/p>\n Longoria\u2019s new film Flamin\u2019 Hot is based on a memoir by Richard Monta\u00f1ez titled A Boy, a Burrito and a Cookie: From Janitor to Executive, chronicling his claim to have invented a popular American snack. Jesse Garcia (The Mother<\/a>) stars in the series.<\/p>\n Desperate Housewives is available to stream on Disney Plus. Flamin\u2019 Hot is available from Friday 9th June.
