\u2018Sheanu\u2019 fans have been loving scenes on EastEnders<\/a> recently, with the unlikely couple deeply in love and arguably stronger than ever before.<\/p>\n

Though Keanu (played by Danny Walters) has made his fair share of silly mistakes in the past, he\u2019s stood up to not only be the man Sharon (Letitia Dean) needs, but also the father little Albie needs.<\/p>\n

But is there a future for Sheanu? EastEnders actor Walters certainly hopes so.<\/p>

Speaking to RadioTimes.com<\/a> at the British Soap Awards, Walters said of the pairing: \u201cI think Sharon puts up a lot of barriers with Keanu because I think she\u2019s been hurt many, many times before; and sometimes she thinks it\u2019s too good to be true, but the way I play Keanu, there\u2019s no ulterior motive.<\/p>\n

\u201cKeanu genuinely, deeply loves Sharon and idolises her because there\u2019s something about Sharon \u2013 they just connect in a way that Keanu can\u2019t really describe. I can\u2019t describe it myself! Hopefully they will have longevity\u2026 but this is EastEnders!\u201d<\/p>\n

However much Sheanu might want to be together forever, the soap gods could have different fate for them \u2013 especially when one considers the potential impact of the Christmas flash-forward.<\/p>\n

With Sharon in a wedding dress looking over a dead man\u2019s body, it\u2019s not looking good for Keanu.<\/p>\n

Walters teased:\u00a0\u201cWhat\u2019s interesting and what I will have to be honest about, nobody knows who it is. I\u2019m sure somebody knows, we\u2019re not winging it, but everyone has their theories and sometimes I have a theory, and then a couple weeks later I might get some new scripts and that might debunk my theory or change my theory. I\u2019m being a little mini investigator as I go along!<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s interesting and it\u2019s very fun. It\u2019s not just getting us talking, it\u2019s getting the fans talking, and I think that\u2019s what fans love doing.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think it\u2019s really smart storytelling that Chris Clenshaw is using as it\u2019s got us all talking, but at the same time, it\u2019s got every male actor nervous as to whether they\u2019ve got a job next year or not!\u201d<\/p>\n

As for whether he\u2019s worried, Walters laughed: \u201cI can\u2019t say, I can\u2019t tease!\u201d<\/p>\n
