Amy Dowden wants to follow in Anton Du Beke’s footsteps and become a judge. <\/p>

Professional dancer Amy Dowden has been one of the Strictly Come Dancing professionals<\/a>\u00a0for four years now, after joining the BBC One dance show back in 2017.<\/p>\n

She\u2019ll return to the ballroom for the 19th series of Strictly Come Dancing<\/a>, which will take place later this year, and she\u2019s expected to be paired with one of the contestants in the Strictly Come Dancing 2021 line-up<\/a>.<\/p>\n

But Amy has also considered judging on the show like former pro dancer\u00a0Anton Du Beke, who will\u00a0 replace Bruno Tonioli as a judge<\/a> this year.<\/p>\n

Asked whether she\u2019d consider doing the same, Amy tells RadioTimes.com<\/a>,<\/strong> \u201cYeah, absolutely. I\u2019m not ready to hang up my shoes yet but absolutely. I judge competitions in the dance world, obviously not Strictly, so yeah I would love to in many years.\u201d<\/p>\n

For now, Amy has her eye on the Glitterball, which she plans to lift this year, gushing: \u201cFifth time lucky!\u201d<\/p>

Amy reached the final\u00a0with CBBC presenter\u00a0Karim Zeroual<\/a> in 2019, and last year, she was partnered with\u00a0JJ Chalmers<\/a>, but they only made it to Week Seven.<\/p>\n

So, has she got any tricks up her sleeves this year?<\/p>\n

The dancer isn\u2019t sure on the strategy for this year, but she insists: \u201cYou\u2019ve got to base your choreography and your style around your partner and what their best at and bring the best out in them! \u201d<\/p>\n
