Dowden has said she will appear on this year’s season “in some way” following a breast cancer diagnosis four weeks ago. <\/p>

Strictly Come Dancing professional Amy Dowden<\/a> has said that she hopes to be back on the show for this year\u2019s season, following a breast cancer diagnosis four weeks ago.<\/p>\n

Dowden spoke with The Mirror<\/a> about her diagnosis and her plans regarding this year\u2019s season, following a mastectomy which has left her currently unable to lift her right arm.<\/p>\n

Dowden said that she is waiting for test results which will determine whether she needs solely radiotherapy or chemotherapy too.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf I only have radiotherapy I\u2019ll be back on Strictly<\/a> this season,\u201d she said. \u201cOnce radiotherapy is done there\u2019ll be nothing to stop me, there\u2019s no pressure but Strictly is leaving the door open. It\u2019s having something to work towards.\u201d<\/p>\n
