Joining the cast, which includes Molly Marsh<\/a>, Ella Thomas<\/a> and Leah Taylor,<\/a> will be new boy Montel McKenzie<\/a> \u2013 as well as stunning Scottish lass, Mal Nicol.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Now living in London, Mal is hoping to find romance in the villa, and already has her eye on a few of the boys \u2013 which will certainly ruffle a few feathers in the couples!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Here\u2019s everything you need to know about Mal.<\/span><\/p>\n Age:<\/strong> 25 Originally hailing from Edinburgh, Mal now lives in London.<\/span><\/p>\n And while the 25-year-old picture researcher is obviously there to find The One, she\u2019s already getting good vibes from the girls in the villa.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI think they are all very different,\u201d says Mal. \u201cJess says it how it is and has good banter and I like her humour. I like Molly\u2019s energy \u2013 it seems very contagious and very positive. I think I would vibe with them. And obviously Ella is from Glasgow so we have that in common!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Mal also says she\u2019s looking forward to taking part in the cheeky challenges on the show, adding: \u201cI am such an attention seeker, so I will love that. It\u2019s going to feel so euphoric \u2013 that\u2019s why I want someone who is playful and fun.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cSomeone who is unapologetically themselves. Life\u2019s too short \u2013 no-one cares.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Mal is 25-years-old, sitting her in the middle age range of the other Islanders. According to her Instagram, her birthday is at the beginning of September and she is a Virgo.<\/p>\n Yes \u2013 you can find Mal\u2019s profile at the handle, @mallurpaal<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n After moving down to England\u2019s capital from Scotland, Mal says her dating life has suffered thanks to her hectic lifestyle \u2013 which is why she thinks the villa is the perfect place to meet her match.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cSince I moved to London, and having the balance of seeing friends, work and gym, it\u2019s really difficult to date at the same time,\u201d she explains. \u201cIt\u2019s quite exhausting to date in the real world\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cWhen you strip it back to no distractions or social situations, your pure focus is on people. I\u2019m intrigued to find a connection.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n And the stunning singleton has the full backing of her loved ones for her experience.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cMy parents have always supported everything I\u2019ve ever done in my life,\u201d Mal says warmly. \u201cMy dad is very old fashioned but he\u2019s been the best \u2013 so supportive and excited for me. I\u2019m their only child so they say to just be myself.\u201d<\/span><\/p> It turns out that Mal does actually have a thing for Love Islanders \u2013 as she previously dated summer 2022 bombshell, Jay Younger!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n But she admits she already has her eye on some of the boys in this years cohort \u2013 which may annoy the other girls.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI do actually like Sammy [Root]<\/a>,\u201d reveals Mal. \u201cI think he\u2019s quite funny and his personality is coming out more \u2013 there is something about him I fancy.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n She continues: \u201cI fancy Zachariah [Noble]<\/a> as well, but I wouldn\u2019t go in too strong on him as I feel like he\u2019ll get a bit big for his boots because he\u2019s had a lot of female attention! I\u2019d play it cool.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cScott [Van der Sluis]<\/a> seems lovely \u2013 I think he\u2019s got really nice eyes. But I do usually go for a rugby boy not a footballer\u2026\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n And of her plan to woo the fellas, Mal says her technique is simple.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI don\u2019t have a game plan and I have never been one to be smooth with flirting,\u201d she explains. \u201cI know I can\u2019t flirt, I can\u2019t dance and I can\u2019t sing, but I can guarantee I\u2019ll be able to laugh them into my bed.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ve never been a flirtatious person but my energy is quite endearing and cute. I think boys think I am quite sexy but because I\u2019m goofy, I come across as sweet and innocent.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI know I won\u2019t have to go for them \u2013 they\u2019ll probably come for me.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Fighting talk!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Love Island airs on ITV2 at 9pm.
