Cindy Beale is set to have a \u201cdynamite\u201d showdown with Kathy Beale in EastEnders<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Actress Michelle Collins has reprised her iconic role as Cindy<\/a> 25 years after the character was jailed and later died off-screen in 1998.<\/p>\n

In Wednesday\u2019s episode (21st June 2023), it was confirmed that an alive Cindy<\/a> was the true identity of new Queen Vic landlord George Knight\u2019s (Colin Salmon<\/a>) missing wife Rose Knight<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The following episode (22nd June 2023) revealed that Cindy Beale<\/a> had informed on her gangster cellmate and was placed in witness protection<\/a>, with her death being faked.<\/p>\n

Yet, Cindy has now reunited with her first husband Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) and will return to Walford full-time<\/a> later this year.<\/p>\n

Speaking to RadioTimes.com<\/a> and other publications at a press event for Cindy and Ian\u2019s return, executive producer Chris Clenshaw discussed Cindy\u2019s personality all these years later.<\/p>

On whether Cindy\u2019s nastier side will re-emerge, Clenshaw commented: \u201cYeah, so she\u2019s a little softer through everything that\u2019s gone on and 25 years of living with a different identity and living a lie to her other family.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think what becomes quite apparent later in the year when she returns to Walford, it doesn\u2019t take long before we see flashes of the old Cindy Beale.\u201d<\/p>\n
