Kristin Scott Thomas and Lily James will make a return to the West End in the world premiere of Lyonesse. Here’s how to snap-up tickets for the limited time run. <\/p>

Calling all theatre lovers, a brand-new play is set to have its world premiere in London\u2019s West End at the end of this year, with a limited 10-week only run.<\/p>\n

British playwright Penelope Skinner, who is known for her plays Linda and The Village Bike, has created the play, Lyonesse, which follows the story of a reclusive actress (played by BAFTA winner and Academy Award nominee Kristin Scott Thomas) who has disappeared from the public eye for 30-years, and a young film executive (played by Golden Globe nominee Lily James) who is primed and ready to assist Scott Thomas\u2019 character in her comeback.<\/p>\n

Lyonesse marks both Scott Thomas\u2019 and James\u2019 return to the West End stage, with Scott Thomas last performing in The Audience \u2014 an interesting play which focuses on weekly meetings between Queen Elizabeth II and the Prime Minister \u2014 and James having previously starred in All About Eve with Sex Education star Gillian Anderson.<\/p>\n

This isn\u2019t the first time the two actors have worked together, however, as the duo can be seen in the 2017 film Darkest Hour and the 2020 movie Rebecca.<\/p>\n

Speaking about Lyonesse, Skinner said: \u201cI am thrilled to be working with Ian Rickson to bring this story to life, alongside such a remarkable cast and creative team. I\u2019m a huge admirer of both Kristin Scott Thomas and Lily James, and am so grateful for Sonia Friedman\u2019s faith and vision in giving this new play a home in the West End.\u201d<\/p>\n

The play will be directed by Ian Rickson, who worked with Scott Thomas on their Olivier Award winning The Seagull, and it will be produced by Sonia Friedman Productions, whose merits include The Book of Mormon and Harry Potter and The Cursed Child.<\/p>\n

Yes. Lyonesse will be showing at the Harold Pinter Theatre for a limited 10 week run, from Tuesday 17th October until Saturday 23rd December this year.<\/p>\n

The Harold Pinter Theatre is currently home to the play Dr Semmelweis, which is showing until 7th October 2023, and it\u2019s located in the heart of London\u2019s West End.<\/p>\n

There are evening performances of Lyonesse on all days \u2014 except for Sundays and Mondays, which have no shows \u2014 and there are matinee performances on Thursdays and Saturdays, too. An audio-described performance will take place on Thursday 30th November in the evening, and a captioned performance will happen on Saturday 18th November in the morning.<\/p>\n

How to get tickets for Lyonesse at the Harold Pinter Theatre<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Tickets for the Lyonesse play starring Kristin Scott Thomas and Lily James are on sale now, having gone live at midday<\/strong> today (Thursday 29th June)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
