Season 3 shines a light on some same-sex relationships. <\/p>
*Warning: Spoilers ahead for The Witcher season 3 volume 1*<\/strong><\/p>\n With The Witcher<\/a> season 3 volume 1 finally here, fans are delving in to see Henry Cavill\u2019s final outing<\/a> as Geralt of Rivia.<\/p>\n Along the way, we also discover more about various characters, including a glimpse into their love lives, with actors Cassie Clare, who plays Philippa, and Hugh Skinner, who plays Prince Radovid, chatting about how they approached their scenes \u2013 especially those that portray same-sex relationships.<\/p>\n A key storyline within volume 1 is Radovid\u2019s relationship with Jaskier (Joey Batey).<\/p>\n Read more:<\/strong><\/p>\n Skinner explained to RadioTimes.com<\/a>: \u201cI was really conscious of [the LGBTQ+ representation]. It just feels like it\u2019s a show where everyone\u2019s there and everyone\u2019s represented. It\u2019s hugely exciting to see something like this in a show with this much reach. I was really aware [of it].\u201d<\/p>\n Clare added: \u201cI think I was aware of it going into it and then as we were filming, the world is so inclusive, it\u2019s almost a non thing.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019re telling the stories and, especially when I was watching the scenes with [Radovid] and Jaskier, I forgot about the beauty of the representation and how much it means to me as an audience member as well as somebody who\u2019s part of this, and I just focused on the love.<\/p>\n \u201cThat\u2019s what I think is really nice for your scenes and some of mine.\u201d<\/p> Speaking to RadioTimes.com<\/strong> at the premiere of The Witcher season 3, Clare also teased what\u2019s set to come for Philippa this season, saying: \u201cPhilippa\u2019s been hatching this plan for a long time, I mean you know how old Philippa is!<\/p>\n \u201cThis plan has been going on for a long time and it\u2019s nice to finally get it started.
