There are still three weeks to go until Barbie<\/a> turns our lives into pink and plastic, but it already looks like its\u00a0director has lined up her next project.<\/p>\n Greta Gerwig, who is perhaps best known for penning Academy Award-winning dramas Lady Bird and Little Women, will write and direct two films built from C S Lewis\u2019s The Chronicles of Narnia fantasy novels, The New Yorker has reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cShe has a deal with Netflix to write and direct at least two films based on C S Lewis\u2019s The Chronicles of Narnia \u2013 but she wasn\u2019t likely to make another movie about a toy,\u201d reads the profile, with Gerwig adding: \u201cIt would have to be something that has some strange hook in me, that feels like it goes to the marrow.<\/p>\n \u201cI don\u2019t know if there\u2019s a doll that anyone is as mad at.\u201d<\/p>
