As Netflix continues to expand its international programming, subscribers can expect a dark new thriller set in Kuwait later this month.<\/p>\n

Devil\u2019s Advocate tells the story of a famous football player who stands accused of murdering his wife, with public opinion quickly turning on the disgraced idol.<\/p>\n

However, a renegade defence attorney actually believes in his plea of \u2018not guilty\u2019 and sets to work on the unenviable task of clearing his name \u2013 if that\u2019s even possible.<\/p>\n

Netflix has only recently started producing original shows in Kuwait, with the first title from the West Asian country being The Exchange, which was released in February 2023.<\/p>\n

The title \u2018Devil\u2019s Advocate\u2019 may cause Western viewers to think of the 1997 horror film starring Al Pacino and Keanu Reeves, where the latter played a young lawyer who starts working for an Earthly incarnation of Satan.<\/p>\n

Some might assume at first glance that Devil\u2019s Advocate on Netflix is another adaptation of Andrew Neiderman\u2019s novel, which inspired the film, but this is incorrect. The two projects are unrelated<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
