ITV has released two first-look clips from hard-hitting documentary Finding My Secret Family<\/a>, in which Paralympian Ellie Simmonds attempts to track down her biological parents.<\/p>\n

The athlete and former Strictly Come Dancing contestant<\/a> was placed for adoption at just 10 days old, and has often wondered if this decision had anything to do with her dwarfism.<\/p>\n

To answer this troubling question, she attempts to get in contact with her birth mother, while also investigating the stark statistics that show children from diverse backgrounds are more likely to be placed for adoption.<\/p>\n

In the first clip below, Simmonds grapples with the unthinkable task of writing a letter to her parents almost three decades since they gave her up.<\/p>\n
